Pisa, Italy – Tracxpoint, a leading provider of retail automation solutions, is proud to announce the successful completion of a pilot program for its innovative AI-Driven Daivi® Smart Carts at Spazio Conad (4,000 sqm over 35,000 SKUs) in Pisa, Italy. Following the end of the pilot, Conad announced plans to immediately extend the program to additional stores over the next few months, with the aim of expanding to more than a hundred locations over the next year.
“Daivi® outperformed all expectations for targeted KPIs, which were high to begin with. The consistency of results have been outstanding and afforded us to continue pushing technological capabilities, such as computer vision and AI recognition, throughout the pilot,” stated Maurizio Barsacchi, Director of Marketing for Conad.
The AI smart cart pilot at Spazio Conad in Pisa was designed to test the effectiveness of Tracxpoint’s array of automated solutions in improving the shopping experience for customers, while also enhancing the operational efficiency of the store. Tracxpoint’s Daivi® machine, driven by artificial intelligence, received overwhelmingly positive feedback from customers, who appreciated the convenience, accuracy, and ease of use of the technology, as well as cashier-less self-checkout. Store managers also noted a significant improvement in operational efficiency, with the smart carts reducing checkout times and allowing employees to focus on other important tasks.
“We are thrilled with the results of the pilot,” said Gidon Moshkovitz, Co-Founder and CSO of Tracxpoint. “The feedback from customers and store managers has been very impactful, and we are very excited to expand this program to additional stores.”
Tracxpoint is committed to working closely with its retail partners to ensure a seamless integration of the technology and to provide ongoing support to ensure the success of Daivi® machine integration.
